Established in 1988, The Country Kitchen will provide you with twenty five years of five-star quality and service to any corporate event. Whether large or small, it would be our pleasure to demonstrate our capabilities and show you just how The Country Kitchen stands above the competition in delivering exceptional food quality and service as we proudly stand behind our commitment to nothing short of excellence.
Over the years The Country Kitchen has undergone many exciting changes which have allowed us to better serve all our valued clients more quickly and efficiently. Our extremely high standard of quality and service have been integrated with the Ministry Food and Safety Programs, HACCP principles, state of the art kitchen equipment and quality assurance programs.
Our Executive Chef and owner Oliver Heupel ( CEC , CMC, Master Chef ) was born and raised in Germany, where he apprenticed at the age of 15 as a certified chef. He worked all over Europe in famous Michelin Star establishments and at the age of 21 he worked on the famous Cruise ship Queen Elizabeth 2.
Having “smelled” the “whole wide world”, he worked all over the world before he came back to Germany to work at the world renown Steigenberger Hotel Europaeischer Hof in Baden- Baden as the Executive Sous Chef.
In Baden- Baden Oliver attended the elite Hotel school to get certified as Executive Chef and Master Chef, the highest European Certification as a Chef.
Oliver is a qualified and recognized Master Chef of Pruefungs Ausschus in Baden-Baden. He worked with famous Chefs such as Gualtiero Marchesi ( 3 Michelin Stars) Massimo Bottura ( 3 Michelin Stars) Michel Roux ( 3 Michelin Stars) Carlo Cracco ( 2 Michelin Stars) .
During his tenure as Master Chef he managed Kitchen Brigades of up to 500 people and Cruise Lines with up to 24 Cruise ships.
He is a Creative and analytically driven Food & Beverage professional with significant experience in managing world class hotels, casinos, catering, cruise lines, restaurant and airline portfolios. He has substantial international experience in America, Europe, Caribbean, Asia and the Middle East.
Oliver had the pleasure to cook for several Head of states such as;
George Bush, Bill Clinton , Angela Merkel, Jassir Arafat, Narendra Modi, Benino Aquino, Franz Josef Strauss , Helmut Kohl, Dalai Lama, General Musharaf, Jacques Chirac, Pascal Lissouba ( Kongo), King Hussein (Jordan),
Actors, Music and Sport Stars;
Back street boys, Madonna, Elton John, Lady Gaga, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Karl Lagerfeld, Otto Kern, Mike Tyson, Boris Becker, Steffi Graf , Michael Jackson , La Toya Jackson,
Just to name a few.
Peter Sulak is our Managing Director as well as owner. Peter and Oliver have met when working together at a grocery chain where Peter was the General Manager and hired Oliver for the role of Corporate Executive Chef. At that time the idea to open a catering company had sprouted. Oliver and Peter had always had a passion for food, quality and the taste. They agreed that they can provide all these things for the customers.
Peter is new to the food industry, having worked prior in logistics and transportation, as well as over ten years at the Pearson Airport representing one of the airlines serving the Caribbean. Peter’s many travels and love for food have introduced him to a variety of world cuisines and tastes, however having grown up in Rome, Italy, Italian culture, fashion, and of course food have a special place in his heart.
Many of our products contain or may come into contact with common allergens including wheat, peanuts, soya, tree nuts, milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, sesame and mustard. When placing your order, please inform your Sales Associate if a person in your party has a food allergy so that we can accommodate your request.
Commitment to Food Safety and Quality Assurance
The Country Kitchen Catering is a member of Restaurants Canada, and is also an HACCP Principled Facility.
Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) is an approach to food safety that is systematic and preventive approach to food safety from biological, chemical and physical hazards in production processes that can cause the finished product to be unsafe, and designs measurements to reduce these risks to a safe level.
